🧑💻 First: Open Admin Terminal
- Press Start
-
Type:
cmd - Right-click → Run as Administrator
🧹 1. Clean temporary files (quick cleanup)
del /q/f/s %TEMP%\*
del /q/f/s C:\Windows\Temp\*
👉 Removes junk temp files that slow things down
🔧 2. Fix broken system files (VERY IMPORTANT)
sfc /scannow
👉 Repairs corrupted Windows files
(wait till 100%)
If it finds errors, run this next:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
👉 Fixes deeper system issues
🧼 3. Remove broken app leftovers (your issue)
This lists all apps:
wmic product get name
Then uninstall (if it still exists):
wmic product where name="APP NAME" call uninstall
⚠️ Note: This may not work for “ghost apps”—for those, Revo Uninstaller is still better.
⚡ 4. Disable unnecessary startup apps (command way)
Open PowerShell (Admin) and run:
Get-CimInstance Win32_StartupCommand | Select Name, Command, Location
👉 Shows startup apps (you still disable via Task Manager—safer)
💨 5. Flush memory & DNS (minor boost)
ipconfig /flushdns
🧠 6. Check disk health
chkdsk C: /f /r
👉 It may ask to run after restart → type Y
🚀 7. Ultimate cleanup command
cleanmgr /sageset:1
cleanmgr /sagerun:1
👉 Opens advanced Disk Cleanup → select everything → runs deep cleanup
⚠️ Important truth
Commands help, but:
- They won’t fully remove apps
- They won’t fix heavy startup load
- They won’t beat a fresh reset
💥 Best combo (do this order)
-
Run:
-
sfc /scannow -
DISM /RestoreHealth
-
- Use cleanup commands
- Use Revo Uninstaller for broken apps
- Disable startup apps
- If still slow → Reset PC
